Remove the retaining plug-in caps from the windshield side of the cabin air filter cover plate (part of the cowling) using a standard screwdriver to pry the caps out.
Open the hood. Remove the cap or caps by prying them off with a flathead screwdriver. Set the cap or caps aside to be reinserted when you are done installing the new cabin air filter.
Remove the rain guard from behind the cover panel (this guard is marked has a little handle--pull the handle to remove the cover). Pull the elderly filter out.
Really? The filter needs to change every 15,000 mile? Honestly, I didn't know that. I have bought my first car a couple of months ago and I am still learning about the car maintenance stuff.
