How to Replace Ignition Coil on a 2003 Ford Escape

Time was, replacing an ingnition coil on a  Ford engine's spark was controlled by a mechanical distributor, which dispersed spark among the various spark plug wires based on the gears at the base.

Ford has changed their process & modernized the ignition process in vehicles like the Ford Escape, & now there's individual ignition modules that control each spark plug, making the engine run more effectively.

If of those ignition modules ought to malfunction, your engine will run poorly & an engine code may be displayed.
